– The capsule is an integrated system of tools for diagnostics and telerehabilitation of sensory-organ disorders – problems with hearing, vision, speech, balance, taste and smell – explained Professor Henryk Skarżyński. – There is no similar system in the world. It will allow performing examinations of the most important senses in one place and within a short time. In order to diagnose sensory disorders, patients must visit many medical centres – they must wait long months for each appointment. Many people resign from treatment because the diagnostic process is so cumbersome. – said Professor Skarżyński.
During his lecture, Professor Henryk Skarżyński talked also about the history and achievements of the Institute. He also listed issues related to his own method of partial deafness treatment.
This cutting-edge diagnostic and rehabilitation capsule, which could be placed in different centres, will contribute to the promotion and improvement of access to preventive medical examination of people with many sensory disorders and their rehabilitation.
